Cinder's paws thudded softly on the dusty ground. She dodged the tall pines that were scattered around her. Cinder slowly came to a stop, searching for an afternoon meal. Her ribs poked out from underneath the skin (Not literally! ). She softly breathed out a warm breath, forming a foggy shape in the cold air. Cinder's clouded, dark green eyes swept the landscape. She hoped there would be a sign of movement, a rabbit or deer, but nothing budged. She would have to last another night of bone-chilling winter without food. Cinder padded away, her mind set on finding a decent den.

Time-set: Winter-time, dusk.

Storm padded through the dark, vast forest, the cold air penetrating his gray pelt.
He clawed the ground, remembering his father, the black wolf who had slaughtered and enslaved innocent over his selfish dreams. He had caused a lot of terrible rumors in the forest, now whenever a pup sees Storm, they cower in fear because of his father.
He looked up from the ground, it had started snowing, he continued on. He needed to find something to eat if he was going to survive out here.

After a few paces, he came across a brown hare, the small mammal hadn't finished growing in it's white winter pelt.
Storm crouched to the ground before pouncing at the oblivious young animal.

Storm caught it after a brief chase and picked up the limp body. The young gray male looked over to the side hearing soft thudding from another wolf, the slender female looked like her pelt was stained with ashes and her ribs could be seen.
Storm dropped his catch and barked at her, letting them know he was there.

It's been a few weeks since he had seen another of his kind.

Cinder licked up the snowdrops on her nose. She had been tackling a rock the size of a bush that was covered in freezing cold snow. She planned to jump on top of it when she heard the thud of a limp body and a rough bark that seemed to be directed to her. Cinder glanced to her left and the direction of the bark and peered past some old trees. A dark-gray coated wolf with blood-red eyes stood with a brown hare in between his paws. She was as surprised to see him as he seemed to her. Cinder's mouth watered at the scent of fresh-kill. The barked back at the wolf, feeling a little threatened. What did he want? she thought. Cinder fluffed up her coat to warm her almost frozen body, and to seem a bit bigger. She gazed at the pelt of the male wolf and watched as the muscles rippled with power under the skin. He had some distinct scars on his body.

Storm shook the growing amounts of snow off his pelt, his gray pelt became fluffed up from the cold too, making him look bigger.
He then asked the wolf across from him who they were, he had never seen them before.

Ever since he left his pack, he's been staying close to the border, catching whatever he could to survive.

The muscular wolf scratched the ground as his fur settled back down, the snow was starting to come down a bit more now, and his kill was cold.
Storm lied down, shielding the carcass from anymore snow, he didn't exactly treasure the meat once it's cold and wet.

The gray male asked who she was. She had never really thought of it before. Who am I, really? But instead of answering with who her family was and who she was, she went with her name. "Cinder." She gave the name to herself, as a masquerade to the ones who knew her and her family. Cinder was wanted by BloodPack for murdering her own mother.
Cinder's real name was Neon. She huffed. What a stupid name, she thought. "Who are you?" she breathed to the wolf, who was no longer a threat.

"I'm Storm," he replied, he never did try to hide it, if anybody didn't like him for his bloodline, it wasn't his fault.
"Son of the deceased alpha Lakota." that name made his fur bristle, he couldn't stand it when others made fun of his roots because of his selfish actions.

Storm flicked his ear waiting for their reaction to this.

When Storm introduced himself as the son of deceased Alpha Lakota, he made it seem big and important. His fur bristled as he said it. "If that's supposed to mean something to me, it doesn't. I've grown up a loner almost my whole life. I don't know who that is." she said questionably. She shook off all the snow on her pelt. "Well, if that's all..." she inquired impatiently.

Storm looked shocked, for once somebody he met doesn't know his father, "You don't know him?" he repeated, he got up holding his rabbit, "Well, he was very well known around here a few years ago, before he was executed." he mumbled through it's soft fur.

"Why was he executed?" She wished her father had been executed. She turned her head away, trying to hide her emotions. She thought she smelled a trace of death. Tears filled her eyes. "Mother..."

Storm looked at her, wondering why her personality suddenly changed, "He was executed out of fear, he had slaughtered and enslaved the innocent over his selfish dreams." he replied.

He hated what his father had done, but in a way, was a hypocrite. He has murdered a couple wolves in his lifetime because of his father's influence.

Cinder winced. So much alike. "My father was Blood, of BloodPack." She doubted he knew about him, since she didn't know about his father. "He murdered my mother and framed me. I was forced to run away from my pack." She thought of what her life could have been like, if she didn't have a devil of a father. She'd probably be happily in love with 3 little pups she would call Mist, Sol, and Aura. Cinder would live until she was an Elder and she would share the Elder's Den with her sister and mate... She just wished she could have a normal life.

Surprisingly enough, Storm did know him, "Ah yes, Blood... My father said he knew him." he scratched his ear while still holding the rabbit. "Something about this alliance I was born into or something... I didn't really care to listen..."

OOC:

Hope this alliance is Ok, I think it will be the Black Blood Alliance. Which is a group of wolves who would sacrifice whatever it took to gain power.
Storm was "Born" into this alliance since he's Lakota's son.
Though, (I'm a girl so don't take this the wrong way) only the sons could join it.

Neon was somewhat surprised that Storm knew her father. What does he mean 'alliance'? Neon shook the thought away. "I'd better get going." She started to pad away, her stomach grumbling.

OOC: It seems pretty cool actually C:

"Fine...But here." he flung the corpse over to her, "I don't like cold food... and you look pretty hungry." he barked before padding away, his gray fur fluffed up for warmth.

Cinder looked at the carcass in front of her. She gulped the food down ravenously. She didn't know what to do next. If she followed Storm, what would she say? She padded up to Storm's side. "How do you survive by yourself?" she asked randomly.

OOC: It was the first thing that came to mind Dx

IC:

Storm looked over, surprised that she had followed him, "Well, I have it easy, all I have to do is wander around the borders here, there's always something to eat. I was just surprised to see another lone so close to the pack territory." he replied

"I'm just as surprised." Neon huffed. "How about I catch you a nice hare? You're probably hungry." Before Storm could reply, she ran ahead of him. She spotted a pregnant hare almost right away. She left it alone. I should be thankful my sister scolded me. It's not like she was trying to be mean.

Storm was a bit surprised that she'd asked so quickly and ran before gathering a reply, he stopped in his tracks and looked behind him.

Weird... I've felt this several times before... Like an approaching evil...

Storm's hackles rose and a shiver crept up his spine, he felt like he was being watched.
He rose his tail and snarled at what seemed to be nothing.

Who's there?! Anybody?

realizing nothing was there he lowered his tail and looked up. The sky seemed to be darker now, but not from the clouds which loomed over-head. But from something more....

OOC: Sinister plot for the win!

OOC: Kinda scared me a bit xD

IC: Neon found a shrew not too far from where Storm was. She pounced and killed it with a quick nip on the neck. She collected it in her jaws and started padding back to Storm. She saw him bristling and gazing at the sky. "Storm?" She barked around the shrew in her mouth.

OOC: Yay! I have accomplished my goal!

IC:

Storm snapped back to reality and looked over at Cinder, who had just returned.
She seemed a little worried and confused.
"Hmm?" he mumbled, still getting this eerie feeling.

He scratched the ground uncomfortably, what was happening, why was he feeling this way? Was something evil looming just around the corner?

His pelt bristled even more as another chill ran up his spine.

Were they being watched?

OOC: Goal?

IC: Storm seemed to be stressing harshly. "Here's your shrew." Cinder offered. She cleared some snow and place the shrew on the dead, cold grass. "Are you okay?" she inquired.

Storm slowly padded over to the shrew and lied down to start eating, "Do you feel any different?" he asked before taking a bite of the small animal.

OOC: My goal was to somewhat 'scare' the reader by being descriptive with the darkness. XD

OOC: Aha xD

IC: "I don't really feel anything." Neon could tell that Storm was acting afraid of something and he seemed cautious his surroundings. His eyes darted left to right every few moments. "I feel cold and--" As Neon searched through her feelings, she focused on a bone-chilling feeling. "What is that?" she whispered, her fur bristling.

"So you do sense it?!" Storm asked, At least I'm not going insane... he thought
The gray wolf looked around, it was there...

no doubt about it...

But where?

How could they deal with it if they couldn't see it?

What if they tried to escape but went towards it?
Is it deadly?

All Storm could do was freeze in his place.
And wait for it to come first...
